A Trojan Horse Is Not A Virus

Important!

Dear visitors,

This blog and the Tigarus.com network will be changing our website software in May (2024). There will be some down time and there will be a change to the webpage addresses.

We will also be removing the Anime blogs. The Rocksmith Songs website will be unavailable of a few weeks or months while I move the database to the new software.

At the moment we are running on Wordpress, the new software is an in-house project which is 57 times faster. It will also provide more freedom for development.

Thank you for understanding.

A Trojan Horse is a hidden back door into your computer, a Trojan can download a virus or malware onto your computer or can be used to allow hackers an open door. Trojans are created to allow entry for something specific and not all Trojans are still harmful.

The best way to protect yourself from a Trojan is to use a Firewall. A Firewall filters and blocks unauthorized Internet usage thus protecting yourself from online hackers and online viruses. The Trojan cannot download malicious software or allow entry for hackers if it’s connectivity is blocked.

Trojans can be inserted into any program, although the program has been infected with a Trojan, the program is still usable, so it is not necessary to delete the infected software.

Trojans can become obsolete and therefore useless, so with the use of a Firewall there is nothing to fear from a Trojan, but do remember that a Trojan is a security risk and use the infected software on your own risk.
