Learn moreDear visitors,
This blog and the Tigarus.com network will be changing our website software in May (2024). There will be some down time and there will be a change to the webpage addresses.
We will also be removing the Anime blogs. The Rocksmith Songs website will be unavailable of a few weeks or months while I move the database to the new software.
At the moment we are running on Wordpress, the new software is an in-house project which is 57 times faster. It will also provide more freedom for development.
Thank you for understanding.
The TERA action MMORPG came to Steam and as a first time player I immediately saw similarities to other ideas besides the obvious.
The Aman race to Stargate SG1’s Unas race
The Elin’s Reaper class to Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri’s Rory Mercury The Reaper
The Reaper character class of the Elin race
I am sure this class is an Anime stereo type and so everyone’s got to include one in their project. The Reaper looks similar to the Manga character Rory Mercury The Reaper from the Manga Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri. Just change the Elin’s hair and remove her ears, minus the different weapons the two Reapers look very much the same.
The image above shows the Elin Reaper on the left and Rory Mercury on the right.
The Aman race
The Aman race is very similar to the Unas from the long running TV series Stargate SG1, the biggest difference is that the Aman have horns. See image above of an Aman on the left and an Unas on the right. The game describes the Aman as a race that has earned their freedom from slavery same as the Unas who was also previously enslaved as well. The Aman and Unas also have very similar voice clips. Chaka chaka-ka.
TERA is a great game and fans of the game should be sure to check out the Gate Manga and Stargate SG1 TV series.
