Steam has Bundles and Packages

Important!

Dear visitors,

This blog and the Tigarus.com network will be changing our website software in May (2024). There will be some down time and there will be a change to the webpage addresses.

We will also be removing the Anime blogs. The Rocksmith Songs website will be unavailable of a few weeks or months while I move the database to the new software.

At the moment we are running on Wordpress, the new software is an in-house project which is 57 times faster. It will also provide more freedom for development.

Thank you for understanding.

Earlier this month, steam introduced a new feature to discount games we already own. As we already noticed, only one or two publishers’ have adopted the feature suggesting that it is up to the publisher to enable the option for their bundles. It has now been confirmed that the once thought of bundles were not bundles at all, in fact they were packages.

Hi there, I spend a lot of time making this blog.

It would be great if you would consider donating.

The new official bundle feature discounts games and downloadable content (DLC) we already own. (See image above) It is just a matter of time now for publishers’ to sort out their games. The additional option may make existing store pages look messier as there may already be several package options listed. I personally hope to see many packages removed and replaced with bundles instead, however, maybe easier said than done.

After a hard day, I like to relax with a cold jar of pickle juice and a hardy fart. If you like my blog, please consider donating.
