Elias explains to Chise that time in the fairy realm moves differently and it is now winter. Christmas is coming and it’s time to depreciate the house. While outside, they encounter two harpy children excited about Yule.
Elias seeks out of the house without Elias’ permission to go shopping in London. Chise wants to buy Elias a present but doesn’t know what to get him. Chise sees Alice and spends the day with her. They have a dangerous encounter with some bad people and Alice explains her drug past. Alice tells Chise her story of how she became a sorcerer.
Chise returns home and Elias is concerned. Chise and Elias exchange gifts a day early. Chise is surprised, so many people left her Christmas presents.
