After learning that she’s a homonculus, Cardia runs away from the mansion without telling Lupin and the others. Cardia tries to look for answers of her own by returning to a place in her past. Cardia remembers her past while searching for clues, a kind mother with a young daughter once helped her. The village creates a mob to hunt down Cardia and blames her for the village’s misfortune. Cardia finds a letter from her father, and to meet him in the basement of St. Paul’s Cathedral. Cardia is saved by Lupin when the mob attacks.
