Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2199

2191, Earth made first contact with alien life. The Gamilas Empire attacked the Earth forcing humanity underground and scattered to Mars. The year is 2199 and humanity faces it’s greatest crisis. Humanity is set to become extinct in exactly one year, unless something can be done.

The Earth Defense Force has been fighting of the Gamilas for eight years in a losing battle. However, after receiving a message from a mysterious planet called Iscandar which were also at war with the Gamilas. A powerful device will make its way to humanity.

Humanity is to create a deep space craft using a Dimensional Wave Motion Engine and travel to Iscadar 148,000 light-years away. A human base receives the final component to complete a secret project. However, the operation attracted the attention of the Gamilas. In the last minute the last hope of humanity took flight.

The space battleship Yamato must make the long and difficult journey to planet Iscandar for aid. In an untested space will the Yamato make it to Iscandar in time to save the last of humanity. What will the Yamato find on its journey.
