, By Patcoola

I’ve often spoken about how one anti-virus isn’t enough and why they don’t work, but what about virus removal services how do they work and how do they differ?

Hi there, I spend a lot of time making this blog.

It would be great if you would consider donating.

Virus removal is not an anti-virus, although an anti-virus could be used to remove viruses, anti-virus software is not often used today for that task.

Virus removal software only does one thing find and remove viruses. An anti-virus is a full featured application providing real time protection, email protection, Internet protection, automatic updates and virus removal. An anti-virus is a much larger and complex piece of software that creates complications.

The biggest complication of anti-virus software is that you cannot have more than one anti-virus installed on the same host system and anti-viruses are not compatible with modern computer repair systems.

The Virus Removal Concept
Removal of the virus is done by bypassing the host operating system. By bypassing the host we completely prevent any active data, thus the virus is also inactive and can be completely removed without magically reappearing.

Traditional Virus Removal
The computer’s hard drive is removed and connected to a service computer. The service computer has the virus removal software.

Modern Virus Removal
Virus removal software is pre-installed on a bootable operating system. A bootable disk or USB device is inserted into the computer and a guest operating system bypasses the host operating system.

Traditional VS Modern
Traditional virus removal requires labor and the small risk of damaging the hard drive by static-shock or misshandling. The traditional method doesn’t work if the computer requiring service uses a RAID setup.

Modern virus removal is as simple as inserting a disk or USB device into the computer. No labor, risks or limits are involved.

Once your computer has been infected it is not easy for the average person to remove. Virus removal is not an over the shelf/counter solution you can do yourself. Traditional removal requires the use of another computer that can accommodate the added hardware and modern removal requires the use of computer programming to create the pre-installed environment. Multiple virus removal programs is required to find and remove all viruses/infections since one virus removal program is often not enough to catch them all.
