Computer repair is becoming a dying industry as technology changes, tablets and other portable computing devices start to take over the computer market while computers become longer lasting with less problems.

Hi there, I spend a lot of time making this blog.

It would be great if you would consider donating.

Computers are lasting longer than ever and are increasingly improving every generation, computer security is also on the rise without the need for third-party security software. Simply, computers aren’t breaking as often, leaving the majority of problems to user error.

A computer can be a consumer electric, many computers such as laptops do not have standardized parts, the lack of field replaceable parts leave the computer to the trash as only the manufacturer can service the computer. As well, consumer electric computers quickly loss their value, thereby being more cost effective to replace the computer than to repair them.

Alternative computing devices are changing the consumer market, tablets for example are quickly replacing computers for general tasks such as Web Surfing, Streaming Videos, Messaging and Email. The future of computer sales will drop as many computers are lasting longer and are less needed.

Simply, the need for repairs are less needed as the quality of computers increase, improved security, the cost benefits of replacing the computer over the repair costs and the drop in computer sales to alternative computing devices. The future of computer repair may fall solely on user error.

Hey Patcoola, It seems to be true, The computer repair industry is dying as more people are engaged on mobiles and tables then on computers. It’s time computer repair companies should start mobile and tables repairing as well.
