Tablet sales top the Personal Computer (PC) says market researchers around the world.
Computer manufacturers start feeling the hit from the tablet market as many people are moving away from their PCs to smaller more user friendly computing devices. The tablet market appeals greatly to the average consumer which don’t need the computing power of a full size computer.
The appeal of the tablet; The tablet is one of the most user friendly computing devices one can use with a small learning curve by comparison to a PC. The tablet has great market appeal to the average electronic consumer with it’s smaller size, easy of use and computing purpose.
The average consumer; The majority of the computer owners are in fact computer illiterate, according to today’s definition of what qualifies a computer user as fully computer illiterate is how well do they, the user knows about personalizing the desktop and the operating systems settings, this means administrative duties. The average computer user today uses their computer only for Internet related services such as Web surfing, Streaming Video, Messaging and Email. The average users has been reported by Internet service providers to use an average of 5 Gigabytes of data per month, however, the amount of Internet usage is greatly increasing as the demand for online videos is increasing.
The falling PC market; PCs are getting faster and less problematic every generation, this means they are lasting longer to the average consumer. With tablets taking the place of a PC for general use such as Web surfing, the PC is left to more work purposes or serious PC gaming. The PC is also less appealing to consumers because of their lager size, higher electricity usage.
Tablets have a strong future as they fill their purpose.
