Purpose: To determine if the Web page has a horizontal or vertical scroll bar.
Description: Determines if the Web page viewed has a visible horizontal or vertical scroll bar, returns true or false. Returns undefined if the function argument is not horizontal or vertical.
Compatibility: Works with all modern Web browsers.
Update 2013/09/21: Fixed issue with Chrome and IE 7. New code structure.
Method:
pageHasScrollBar( barPos_s );
Options:
- horizontal
- vertical
Example Usage:
pageHasScrollBar( ‘vertical’ );
Returns true or false.
