Programming Language: Java Script

Purpose: To count the number of words in a string.
Description: Counts the number of words in a string value. Returns a number or zero if the input is not a valid.
Compatibility: Works with all Web browsers.
Method:
wordCount ( str );
Example Usage:
var str = ‘Hello my name is Sam. Go Sam go!’;
wordCount(str);
returns 8
