Rocksmith Song Search 2.0 [Update: 2018-04-25]

The new relationship database came with an audit of artists listed. Officially Rocksmith has 476 artists (bands) in my database, however, an audit expanded the artists, groups, and composers to 490 which was refined to 481.

Rocksmith Song Search 2.0 [Announcement]

The Rocksmith Song Search will be moving to its own blog. The dedicated song blog will feature many new improvements over the current database.

  • New relationship database
  • Simple interface
  • Single search field with optional advance option

Rocksmith currently has 476 artists, 1207 songs, and 262 song packs. The new database is more manageable and provides more development opportunities. Artist search now has more search terms, allowing for improved results for miss spellings.

Project: Rocksmith Song Search

February 25, 2015, I had launched an exciting new side project of mine. Rocksmith Song Search is a free service posted on my blog to provide a searchable song and artist database. This database lists songs, artists and song packs from the game Rocksmith.

This project was created as a side project for educational purposes to further develop and learn about database search functionality. I chose Rocksmith as the subject because I believe this would be the Internet’s first searchable Rocksmith song database also I believe in the future Rocksmith could someday have more than ten thousand songs and it’s good to get an early start on a searchable database while the list is still small.

Rocksmith: Steam DLC Won’t Run

As a Steam user I have noticed an issue with the game Rocksmith.

Some down-loadable content (DLC) does not run after purchasing and downloading.

The data is correct but the game does not seem to run the DLC correctly. When the song starts there is no music and no movement, the game justs stays still, some users has claimed that the song stops mid way though.

Rocksmith: Extending Your Cable

The video game Rocksmith for the PC and like every other release of the game, we have the same Real Tone Cable. The cable is about 10 feet long; all my personal guitar cables are 25 feet in length, for a game that you are most likely to be playing 10 feet away from the large screen TV, a 10 foot cable gives you a playing area of about 5-7 feet realistically.

A 10 foot cable is too small for many people, the simple solution is to extend the cable, but how.
