Lindel’s familiar Selkie meets Chise at Elias’ home to take her to the land of dragons for a wand. Lindel tell Chise how he found Elias wondering the winter valley. Lindel takes Elias to his master to determine what he is, and Lindel’s master doesn’t know. Lindel’s master gives Elias his name and tells Lindel to be his master. Meanwhile, Elias receives a letter from a sorcerer’s college.
