Elias travels with his master Lindel, learning and retrieving past memories. One day Lindel visits an ill girl and is attacked when the shadow of Elias appears above to girl. Lindel is stroked in the head with a rock and Elias defends Lindel from the angry mob. Lindel casts a spell sending himself and Elias to the land of fairies to escape. Latter at a camp fire, Elias makes dinner for Lindel and believes he may of eaten humans before. Lindel asks Elias if he will eat him, and Elias says he has no desire to.
At the land of dragons Lindel cuts Chise’s hear as an ingredient for her wand. Lindel brings Chise a verity of wood to choose for her wand. Chise carves her wand with a knife. Latter Lindel sings a song to cast a spell for Chise to communicate with Elias in the refection of the water.
