Chise confronts Joseph and engages him in a battle of words. Chise believes the Joseph wants others to understand his pain. Joseph had made things out to be a battle of who has more pain in their life. Chise and Joseph fight, and others join the battle. Elias wraps both Chise and Joseph together with his thrones. Chise embarrasses Joseph has part of her plan, given to Elias and Ruth.
Days latter Chise awakes in Elias’ home, while Joseph sleeps at the bottom of a magical well. Joseph wishes to do nothing. Elias wonders when the next Cartaphilus will appear, and all is happy to see Chise well again.
Chise visits Stella for her birthday party and is surprised to find that the party has been thrown for Chise instead. Stella gives Chise a dress and Angelica gives her a veil. Chise puts her gown and veil on and walks the forest outside her home. Elias meets Chise and they talk about their future together.
