On a mountain side, an old bandit teaches a young man about ambushing expecting travelers. The old man passes down his wisdom for judging character. A man in a buggy with a girl and dog is too dangerous as the old man points out the hand grenade in the girls hand. A girl riding a motorrad is too dangerous as she must be an experienced traveler with her side arms.

Kino finds herself in a nice country talking to a man. The man is the president of the country and tells her about the country’s moral point system. The has done many great things his entire life for the purpose of getting away with murder. The man has accumulated enough points for the first time in the country’s history to get away with a single murder. Kino realizes that the man may intend to kill her and keeps her hand on her gun. The man confesses her intentions and walks away.

Shizu and party reach a nice country. At the country Shizu checks to see if they are excepting immigration. Tifana takes part of the country’s wishing event. People write a wish on the paper and past it on the large statues or wall behind. Tifana write a wish her thinks is senseless and others read it. The people are very happy for her selfless wish. Shizu learns that the country is not accepting immigration at this time and they set off to leave.

Kino arrives at a country of chefs, immediately her is asked to cook for the chefs. The country is looking for a country dish and they chose Kino’s spicy chicken. Kino’s chicken takes the country by storm although Hermes thinks Kino is a bad cook. A chef modifies the dish to be less spicy and a debate takes place. The new dish is approved and Kino’s Chicken is the country’s national dish. Shizu and party arrives at the country and is immediately introduced to the Kino’s Chicken.

Kino arrives at a country her master talks highly off, however, doesn’t say anything about. Kino visits and leaves right away, Kino is baffled. Kino doesn’t remember entering the country, only leaving. Hermes explains and Kino reads a letter her had written before entering the country. Everyone that enters the country agrees to have their memory erased when they leave. Kino is upset.
