The Yamato lands on planet Iscandar to meet with Queen Starsha. The crew is happy to finally get some rest and feel the sea. Starsha is reunited with her sister Yurisha and mistakes Mori for the deceased Sasha Iscandar. Kodai explains that Sasha died on Mars delivering the power core for the Wave Motion device.

Queen Starsha is upset with the humans use of the Wave Motion energy as a weapon. The Yamato and its crew wait for Starsha to make her decision to get the them the Cosmo Reverser. The crew swims in the sea and explores the surroundings.

Starsha takes Kodai to a memorial gave, here he learns of his brother Mamoru. Starsha explains that he was on board a Gamilan prisoner-transport ship that crashed on Iscandar. Mamoru was the only survivor of the crash, however, his injuries were too severe. The Yamato plays Mamoru’s last message to the Yamato before they take off.

Starsha had the Yamato refitted for the Cosmo Reverser and the Wave Motion Gun sealed. The Iscandarians had invented the Wave Motion Gun first, and had fleet guilty for its use in the past. The Iscandarians wish for humanity to not use the weapon.
