Learn moreDear visitors,
This blog and the Tigarus.com network will be changing our website software in May (2024). There will be some down time and there will be a change to the webpage addresses.
We will also be removing the Anime blogs. The Rocksmith Songs website will be unavailable of a few weeks or months while I move the database to the new software.
At the moment we are running on Wordpress, the new software is an in-house project which is 57 times faster. It will also provide more freedom for development.
Thank you for understanding.
What a technician can do on-site.
What a technician can’t really do properly on-site.
Virus/Malware scans can take hours, although minor infections can be removed quickly without a scan (maybe) aggressive viruses can only be removed with a guest system where the host system is inactive and is not recommended for on-site services.
Hardware testing, this can take hours per component and can require a service computer for swap testing. Hardware testing is not recommended for on-site services.
Although there are many services that could be used as an example for why it should not be conducted on-site Data recovery is a perfect example as this requires additional hardware and can take days or even weeks to preform.
Unattended services, many services can require a lot of waiting such as virus scans and hardware testing where hours can be spent unattended. Most on-site services charge by the hour and since the service is considered unattended ask yourself “why do you want to pay someone by the hour to sit around doing nothing?”.
Since many services are unattended and may require special attention, not all problems can be solved on-site. So should you call someone to your home/office ask yourself a few questions first.
