Important!

Dear visitors,

This blog and the Tigarus.com network will be changing our website software in May (2024). There will be some down time and there will be a change to the webpage addresses.

We will also be removing the Anime blogs. The Rocksmith Songs website will be unavailable of a few weeks or months while I move the database to the new software.

Project: Link Verifier
Core Scripting Languages: PHP
Purpose: Verifies links and URLs.
Date Announced: 2011/07/27

Description:
Checks URLs and links to ensure that the link is valid.

  • Check if a link is dead.
  • Expand short URLs and reveal the true URL.
  • Can display the URL’s page title.
  • Can determine if a link is a download or file and not a web-page.

Notes:
This project will be integrated in many other projects that may benefit or require it. A web application will be made available to demonstrate this script and to be a free service to those whom may want to use it for personal reasons.
