Learn moreDear visitors,
This blog and the Tigarus.com network will be changing our website software in May (2024). There will be some down time and there will be a change to the webpage addresses.
We will also be removing the Anime blogs. The Rocksmith Songs website will be unavailable of a few weeks or months while I move the database to the new software.
At the moment we are running on Wordpress, the new software is an in-house project which is 57 times faster. It will also provide more freedom for development.
Thank you for understanding.
Script Title: Custom Tag Interpreter
Programming Language: PHP
Date Completed: 2012/05/29
Projects: WordPress JavaScript Applet [Plugin]
Purpose: To create a custom tag.
Description: Converts a custom tag into a standard tag or executes a method.
Case Study: Custom Java Script Tag Placement
This custom tag is used to by pass content management systems (CMS) text editors, allowing for Java Script to be added without the text editor removing the script. Tags can be added to execute third party Java Script widgets. This is not a full Java Script solution for the CMS text editor, see limitations below.
Java Script Method:
Example 1:
[script:JS src="main.js"][/script:JS]
Example 2:
[script:JS src = "main.js"]
main.api.width = 480;
main.api.create();
[/script:JS]
Example 3:
[script:JS]
document.write(‘hello’);
alert(‘hello’);
[/script:JS]
Limitations:
Nested HTML is not supported, any HTML within Java Script will not be processed as Java Script.
Example:
[script:JS]
document.write(“<p>hello</p>”);
// this script will not be processed
[/script:JS]
Solution: The nested HTML will have to be converted to HTML characters codes,
example(< = <).
