Stronghold Kingdoms Beginner’s Guide

Important!

Dear visitors,

This blog and the Tigarus.com network will be changing our website software in May (2024). There will be some down time and there will be a change to the webpage addresses.

We will also be removing the Anime blogs. The Rocksmith Songs website will be unavailable of a few weeks or months while I move the database to the new software.

At the moment we are running on Wordpress, the new software is an in-house project which is 57 times faster. It will also provide more freedom for development.

Thank you for understanding.

The Parish

Controlling a Parish is a big thing, being a Parish Steward is power; you own land in a County and can vote for the County Sheriff, plus you have the Parish Army, which moves across the map at super speed and troops only cost gold. But owning a Parish coming with some responsibilities.

Donating Goods, The Parish village has buildings for everyone to donate goods to upgrade Parish services. Players do not need a market or transports to donate goods. Upgrading buildings allow for Parish services, which are bonuses, like increased honor points bonus for all villages in the Parish or increased honor goods production.

Over Donating, you can over donate goods, these goods are carried over to the next upgrade level and are not wasted. Do so by moving the goods quantity select bar to change the donation amount from zero to the amount of your choice.

Tip: Team Player Quest, This quest can be hard if you have entered into an older Parish that has everything fully upgraded. If you can donate, you can over donate by selecting the resource of your choice then move the value selection bar and click the send/donate button. Over donations can carry over to the next upgrade level. Note: Donations are measured as packets, each resource displays how many to a packet, for example 1000 wood makes one packet of wood.

Managing the Parish village, after a building has be upgraded, please post the builds name in the Parish Forum as a record to all future Parish leaders and delete the building, the builds effects still apply to the Parish and it’s villages even after the building is gone. Barracks, Supply Depots, Labourer’s Billets are Castle modifiers, the more of these building you have in the Parish village, the more of a bonus you receive for the Parish Castle such as faster Castle construction or faster Castle army movement.

Note: In the Second Age, bonuses disappear when the build is removed.

The Elections, each day you receive three votes per village you own in the same Parish, the larger your village is in the Parish, the more votes you can keep for a rainy day. This means a large village can cast a vote of 21 instead of 3. If you are the majority land owner in the Parish, you can vote yourself into power. Monks can be used to influence an election at the cost of a Monk and a small amount of Faith Points. Each Monk counts as one vote and can be used to increase or decrease ones votes. When a Parish has been Monked, the action is stated on the Parish Info view for all players in the Parish to see, there you can see who Monked.

Tip: As an unwritten rule in the game, you do not influence an election of a Parish as the players of the Parish will get very angry. Do so on our own risk.

Tip: See a players vote count from any Parish, once you have a Monk, you can see the vote count of all the players in any Parish by selecting the Parish Capital click the vote option and now you can see the players vote count.

The Parish Economy, The Parish relies on the villages tax dollars to build Castle structures such as Towers, hire Mercenaries for the Castle Army and buy building materials. However, the Parish gains a small commission on all Parish market transactions which will help with expenses and the elected leader can use their own building materials.

Tip: As the Parish Steward, you can use your own building resources to supply the Parish. When you become the Steward of a Parish, the Parish village becomes ours and will show on the trades village list. This means you can transport resources to the Parish the same as one of your own villages.

Tip: Any player can give resources to a Parish by going to the trades screen click the villages list and click the Find on map option, then select the Parish Capital from the Map. Alternatively you can go to the map view and select your own village you want to give the resources from and click the trade icon then you can select the Parish Capital to transport goods to.

The Parish Steward, can vote for the County Sheriff.

The Parish Army, an army that moves across the map at lightning speed, and can be rearmed instantly at only the cost of gold or players donating their own troops.

Tip: You don’t need gold to hire troops, a player can donate their troops to the Parish by using the Send Reinforcements feature. Donated troops are not returnable.
