Dear visitors,
This blog and the Tigarus.com network will be changing our website software in May (2024). There will be some down time and there will be a change to the webpage addresses.

Purpose: To easily calculate the average from a list of values. Returns a number.
Description: Calculates the average from a list of numbers contained in an array. Returns a number, or returns NaN (Not a Number) if a given value is not a valid, returns undefined if the given value is not an array.
Method:
avg ( array_a );//Returns a number
Example Usage:
var array_a = new Array ( 0,”2″,2,12,9 );
avg ( array_a );
Returns 5
