Purpose: To check if a Web browser supports a specific Java Script function “Object”.
Description: Many Web browsers do not support the latest HTML and Java Script standards, as a result you may find that many some functions in Java Script may product a not function error. Has Java Script Object is a Java Script function to check if a specific Java Script Object “Function” is supported by the current Web browser in use.
Returns true or false, returns undefined if the functions arguments is not set.
Method:
hasJSObject ( object_s );
Example Usage:
hasJSObject ( “hasAttribute” );
Example Results:
Internet Explorer 7: false
Internet Explorer 8: true
